Back when we made the original, skinnier Deathwish Tour, you clamored for a fatty, so we made it. Now, here we are again after countless requests, making a narrow Deathwish Tour.

But this one isn’t just the OG.

We’ve learned a lot about how to build badass touring skis after pressing up a few thousand in various profiles, and all of that knowledge goes into the new Deathwish Tour 104. It packs all the versatility of the wider version into a more agile package while giving up none of the skin track grip and sketchy condition security of Triple Camber. But where this new version really shines is in how damp and substantial it feels for how light and whippable it is. European beech stringers keep the Deathwish Tour 104 impressively composed from drop-in to runout—something you might not notice as much on turn one, but that you’ll deeply appreciate when you hit the cat track back to the yurt after your third thigh-burning multi-thousand-foot descent of the day. And with just a touch more rearward mount than its wider counterpart, it kick-turns all that much easier on the up and drives that much harder on the down—as if you needed any more encouragement.

This is a ski built for big days, multi-mile approaches, crushing vert to god knows where, corn harvests on your favorite volcanos, and extra-spicy, shark-fin-loaded ridgeline traverses. Give yourselves a pat on the back—you asked for it…five years after we axed it at your request. Only this one’s even better.

We’re beginning to accept that you folks will never trust us, nor will you ever accept just one version of a great thing. That’s fine. We’ll just continue this never-ending cycle. Guess that does mean more skis for you and more refinement work for us. Figures.
